Mark Meadows, M.D.

Dr. Mark Meadows is Board Certified by the American  Academy of Ophthalmology and the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgeons.  He has served as Chief of Ophthalmology at the Baton Rouge General Medical Center and Riverwest Medical Center for the past ten years.  He was formerly an Assistant Clinical Professor of Ophthalmology at LSU School of Medicine where he trained other ophthalmologists to perform cataract, Lasik, and glaucoma surgeries. 

Dr. Meadows specializes in eye surgery and has performed thousands of refractive surgeries(Lasik), Cataract and glaucoma surgeries. Dr. Meadows has received the Patients’ Choice Award, the Compassionate Doctor Recognition Award, and the On-Time Doctor  Award.    

Dr. Meadows performed the first Lasik surgery at Eye Care and Surgery Center in Baton Rouge in 1998.

Dr. D and Dr. Mark Meadows went to LSU Medical School together. When Dr. D was severely injured by an accident in 2012, Dr. Mark Meadows stepped up and took care of Dr. D’s patients for months.
