I have had poor vision from 5 years old and I have seen many ophthalmologists. When I came to Dr D I knew right away that I would continue to go to him for my eyes. Dr D and his staff are nothing less than excellent, I have recently moved to the Northshore, but I will continue to come here. 5

My husband works in construction and had a metal wire hit him in the eye. He just so happened to be working in Houma so I called the office and spoke with Candace. She was so helpful and was able to put my husband in for an emergency appointment so he didn’t have to drive back to the New Orleans area without being seen. He got to the office and not only was he immediately seen, he had immediate relief from treatment. He said everyone in the office was so kind, understanding and accommodating. Needless to say, if we see an ophthalmologist in the future, we will be making the drive all the way to Houma to come here.5

I started wearing glasses at 39, and I couldn’t see anything without them! I was so excited when I found out I was ready for cataract surgery. I met Dr. Meadows before the surgery, and he was so nice and made me feel at ease. He let me ask all my questions and you could tell he was really listening to me. He also likes a good joke! The surgery itself was different than what I expected since I was able to stay awake and ask questions during the procedure. I don’t think you are really supposed to do talk during the surgery though, whoops! As soon as my first surgery was done, I looked down at my watch and I was able to see what time it was! I could not wait to have my second surgery done! My vision continues to get better every day. Dr. D is just wonderful, Dr. Meadows is amazing, and with both doctors working with me, I knew I wouldn’t have any problems. I would recommend SEECA to everyone!

Before my premium lens cataract surgery, I wore cheaters any time I needed to see or read something up close. I could not wait until my cataracts were ready for surgery! I knew without a doubt that I wanted the premium lens, as I’ve seen how amazing they are first hand. My father was 98 years old, and he was able to see the tiny print on the bottle of eyedrops without any glasses whatsoever. Meanwhile my siblings and I couldn’t see any of that print even with our readers on! Now I’m able to see the tiny print on my fitbit without any glasses! The recovery after surgery has been easy. I’ve just been following all my directions-especially making sure to put in my drops. I’m already loving how good my vision is in my right eye, and I cannot wait to have the left eye done! My husband is starting to get jealous of how good my vision is. I have a feeling we will be back to see Dr. D, but next time for my husband!

when i called for an appt. I asked if yall took united healthcare for adults was told yes was asked what was going for said glasses & was told my ins was good. then I go & find out I have to pay for my frames & lenses. when my ins has $100 allowance for frames / lenses every 2 years & I haven''t used it yet was hoping to at this visit . So y''all can cancel next visit bc i will find a place that actually takes my ins.
