As a practicing physician and administrator, I know firsthand the struggles you face in medicine AND business. It's not enough to work hard in today's medical arena. We must creatively utilize all available resources to maximize opportunity and triumph over adversity.

The challenges we face in medicine include 1) the jumbled insurance puzzle, 2) dictatorial chart documentation requirements, 3) decreasing reimbursement, 4) the medical liability crisis and 5) increasing operational costs. Each of these factors takes a heavy toll on our profitability and lifestyle.

How did things get like this? Over the last 20 years the American medical system has been transformed by plaintiff attorney politicians and powerful insurance companies into a regulatory quagmire where money is funneled away from doctors and patients to pay for the ever growing HEALTH CARE MACHINE. Even today, we have too few doctors in political positions who might positively influence our future. The American medical system is still the best in the world, but the cost of providing care is rising so rapidly that access to care is threatened, as is the viability of the system itself. Doctors have seen their salaries plummet in recent years while insurance executives and jackpot-justice attorneys run away with our patient's money. Besides being profoundly exasperating, these distractions significantly deplete our resources.

Who has the extra time to deal with these challenges? SEECA PMP systematically addresses each of the fundamental challenges mentioned above by increasing efficiency and or eliminating the source of the problem, thus empowering physicians and administrators.

1. The jumbled insurance puzzle is a reflection of inconsistent insurance coding requirements. Who can possibly remember the correct sequence of ICD-9's and modifiers, given that they are different for each insurance company and change year to year? SEECA PMP uses electronic information from the insurance companies and feedback from rejected claims to "learn" the requirements of each insurance company. The system automatically generates electronic bills specific for each insurance company and plan. This eliminates the need for a biller, significantly decreases "dirty claims", and dramatically reduces accounts receivable.
2. The chart documentation debacle, (E/M coding) is incredibly difficult to understand, much less apply consistently to each patient's record. No one has time to tally bullet points, symptoms, and elements of decision making to determine the correct E/M level. SEECA PMP quickly creates "bullet proof" level 5 E/M documentation for each visit. The code selected for each visit is then determined by the complexity of decision making, which is intuitive to all doctors. Spend more time with your patients and less with their chart.
3. The above feature allows doctors to correctly code the level of visit they deserve, instead of down-coding the visit for fear of not having the proper documentation in the chart. This process has been shown to dramatically increase practice revenue, and consequently offsets a portion of the reimbursement cuts all doctors have sustained over the past years.
4. SEECA PMP decreases exposure to certain types of medical malpractice claims. Excellent documentation, time-stamped educational videos and procedure consents provide an added layer of protection against "lack of informed consent" cases. Standardization of care and reminders for required tests decrease patients who "fall through the cracks." Allergic drug reaction warnings protect the patient from receiving medications to which they are allergic. The system goes into the operating room by way of an internet VPN connection, decreasing the risk of complications related to surgical mix-ups.
5. SEECA PMP dramatically increases efficiency, requires less staff to see a given number of patients and decreases operational costs. The savings from pulling charts, decreased transcription costs, referral letter costs and other savings is substantial. The cumulative savings will typically allow the doctor pay for the system during the first year.
